With a value of approximately $450 million, the New Stamford Hospital expansion project includes a 13-floor, 650,000 square foot hospital tower; a 33,500 square foot Central Utility Plant, and an underground pedestrian and utility tunnel linking the new facilities. The new tower includes 180 patient rooms, a Heart & Vascular Institute, expanded Emergency Department and Intensive Care Units, a Cancer Center, and Surgical Suites.

Skanska also retained TriLogix to develop and manage a separate schedule for the fit-out of the 5th floor space in the new hospital tower, occupied by the Hospital for Special Surgery. The TriLogix schedule was utilized from the bid process through construction of the space and, like the Master Project Schedule, included a detailed pre-construction schedule for coordination, engineering, and material procurement.
